Restaurant serving dishes typical of Ferrara. I went for lunch and tried their tasting Menu for EUR 25 comprising local delicacies like cappellacci di zucca, salma da sugo and torta tenerina. The dishes tasted excellent, especially the pastas. The service was warm and friendly. The lady in charge of the restaurant looks after every customer personally. My only critisism is that for the prices charged, the portions could have been larger.

Wonderful traditional osteria in the heart of pedestrian-friendly Ferrara. I had bookmarked this place and walked past it without any real interest. It looked quiet and empty a little before 20:00. We circled back and decided to see if we could eat here. Boy, are we glad we did. We ended up eating upstairs where the older proprietor personally waited on us. We let her recommend her specialities. Delicately fried anchovies … amazing! Butternut squash filled ravioli, one with the traditional butter & sage and one with Bolognese sauce … simply amazing. Their house dessert was outstanding. Great coffee followed by complimentary grappa. Such a great and affordable experience!

Friendly and caring service and great food. My risotto with green peas was amazing, the grilled octopus as well. Leave some space for desserts!

What a lovely experience this was. A little off the beaten path in Ferrara, maybe more of a local favourite than something tourists will typically seek out but definitely a place you'd regret missing. The restaurant itself is beautifully decorated, with artwork on the wall and the old wooden ceiling above. I chose a melanzane as starter and tortellini in brodo for my main. Both were super tasty, made with care and passion. It's amazing how the food made me feel at home immediately. Service was friendly, quick and attentive. Tried my best at using Italian instead of English and they were very patient with my efforts. Much appreciated.

I wanted to try all the specialities: the cappellacci, the saluma da sugo and the torta tenerina. I was dissappointed by none of them. Good value all round and very kind people.
